Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned and visionary professional to join our leadership team as Head – Mining. The ideal candidate will bring 15–20 years of extensive experience in Overburden (OB) Removal and Mine Developer & Operator (MDO) projects, with a proven ability to oversee large-scale operations across multiple sites. Based at our corporate office in Chennai, this role will provide strategic direction, operational leadership, and compliance oversight for mining operations pan-India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for end-to-end mining operations across multiple sites in India.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor OB removal and MDO projects to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure statutory, safety, and environmental compliance across all mining projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Implement best practices, process improvements, and innovative solutions to enhance mining productivity and efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mining engineers, project managers, and support staff.
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans for mining operations, including capacity expansion and resource optimization.
  • Oversee project budgets, financial planning, and performance metrics to drive profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
  • 15–20 years of proven experience in mining operations, specifically in OB removal and MDO projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mining regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, multi-site mining operations.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong strategic mindset with proven ability to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to mining sites across India.
