Primary Title: Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist (OB/GYN) with ICU/Critical Care Experience

About the Opportunity
A multi-specialty healthcare services provider operating in the secondary/tertiary care hospital sector in Pune, focused on maternal health, gynecology and critical care services. We are expanding clinical capacity in the Gynaecology and ICU departments at our Bibwewadi, Pune campus to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to urban and peri-urban patients.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive clinical care across Gynaecology OPD, IPD and labour room—manage antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum cases, including high-risk pregnancies.
  • Perform and lead obstetric procedures including vaginal deliveries, assisted deliveries and Caesarean sections; stabilise and escalate obstetric emergencies (PPH, eclampsia, uterine rupture).
  • Provide hands-on critical care in the ICU: ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive support and sepsis management for obstetric and gynaecologic patients.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care with Anaesthesiology, Neonatology and Nursing to optimise maternal and neonatal outcomes; support timely referrals to higher centres when required.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, participate in case reviews, morbidity & mortality meetings and contribute to clinical quality and patient-safety protocols.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors, trainees and nursing staff; participate in on-call roster and continuous medical education activities.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • MBBS or BAMS with valid Indian medical registration and current licence to practise.
  • Proven clinical experience managing obstetric patients and working in ICU/critical care settings.
  • Demonstrable competence in emergency obstetric procedures and intrapartum care (including LSCS).
  • Certification or training in emergency life support (ACLS) and experience with ventilator/critical care protocols.

Preferred

  • Experience in tertiary hospital obstetric ICU or high-risk pregnancy units.
  • Training or certification in obstetric ultrasound or fetal monitoring.
