About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Shopify Expert who not only excels at Shopify design, development, and optimization but also understands server staging environments, website cloning, preventative maintenance, and smooth update deployment.

This individual must have a strong project management mindset, ensuring tasks move from planning to execution with clarity, accountability, and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities

Build, update, and optimize Shopify stores (themes, templates, apps, integrations).

Manage staging servers and environments for safe testing before site deployment.

Perform website cloning, backups, and preventative maintenance.

Troubleshoot technical issues related to Shopify, hosting, DNS, and integrations.

Coordinate with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver completed projects on time.

Document changes, updates, processes, and version histories.

Implement site speed enhancements, UI/UX improvements, and performance monitoring.

Maintain a proactive approach to updates, security, and stability of all Shopify properties.

Participate in scheduled calls/discussions during late India hours.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years hands-on experience working with Shopify (themes, Liquid, apps, customizations).

Strong understanding of server staging, sub-domains, and development workflows.

Experience in website cloning, backups, version control, and rollback planning.

Familiar with third-party apps, API integrations, payment gateways, and fulfillment setups.

Ability to manage projects independently with a completion-oriented work ethic.

Comfortable with DNS, hosting panels, domain management, and troubleshooting.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ownership of deliverables.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid scripting.

Experience with Shopify Plus (a bonus).

Familiarity with project management tools (Asana, Trello, ClickUp, etc.).

Understanding of SEO, CRO, and analytics tools.
