Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join our Applied AI Lab team. You will play a key role in building robust, scalable, and flexible backend systems that power intelligent healthcare products and AI-driven workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & implement scalable APIs and service layers (REST/GraphQL)
  • Integrate AI/ML models into backend infrastructure
  • Build & manage data access layers, databases, and external APIs
  • Develop infrastructure using Terraform to support cloud deployments
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment, logging & monitoring
  • Collaborate with ML, frontend, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

Must-Have Skills

  • Backend Development: Python (FastAPI/Flask), Microservices, API development
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (proficient in writing & managing modules)
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM)
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions / GitLab CI
  • Testing: Pytest, unit & integration testing
  • Version Control: Git (GitHub/GitLab)
  • Containerization: Docker Compose

Good to Have

  • Experience with Kafka / SQS, Airflow, Glue, AWS Step Functions
  • Exposure to data parsing (JSON, XML, CSV, Parquet)
  • Knowledge of Go / / Java
