Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine neurological tests and assessments, such as electroencephalograms (EEGs) and electromyograms (EMGs)
  • Prepare patients for neurological procedures, explain the process and answer any questions they may have
  • Record and report test results accurately and promptly
  • Assist with the maintenance and calibration of neurological equipment
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive patient information
  • Collaborate with the neurology team, including physicians and nurse practitioners, to provide the best possible patient care
  • Continuously stay current with the latest advancements in neurological technology and techniques.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience using electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare technology
  • Familiarity with a variety of neurological testing procedures, such as evoked potentials and intraoperative monitoring
  • Associate's degree in a related field, such as Neurodiagnostic Technology or Electroencephalography Technology
  • Certification as a Registered Neurological Technician (R. EEG T.) or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a neurology or neurodiagnostic department
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and report test results
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and providing high-quality care.
