About the Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking a Director of Engineering as part of the Exposure management group which encompasses Vulnerability management, Surface, Attack path, and posture management groups,  reporting to the VP Engineering. As a key member of the Exposure management team, you will focus on a broad area of the product. You will play a critical role in the exposure management engineering organization and will be responsible for driving the technical strategy, roadmap and OKR's for your areas of responsibility. In this role, the successful candidate would be technically profound, have domain knowledge of asset management, exposure management, including a strong understanding of some of the current prevalent products in the space. Along with experience building and leading a team focused on building scalable cloud-based solutions. 

What You'll Do:

• This critical role in the organization will be responsible for leading the charge on building innovative solutions leveraging and building a consolidated exposure management platform for various first and 3rd party data sources

• Build in best practices of software development; code review, automated tests, agile development, retrospective, incremental improvements and continuous deployment

• Work on cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects. You will work cross functionally with your peers in the engineering organization as well as leaders in sales and product

• Participate and lead the architecture, design and development of new features

• You will help drive and deliver on the technical strategy and roadmap and will be responsible for mentoring the team

• Your impact is not bounded and you will be enabled to engage and collaborate with various teams and ensure your product's success

• Strong communication skills; working collaboratively and confidently with internal stakeholders.

• Strong experience in completing tasks for multiple projects simultaneously and an ability to work with various cross-functional teams across the globe 

What You'll Need:

• A Masters in Computer Science or related field, or BS with equivalent work experience

• 15+ years of overall engineering experience, including 5+ years as director or above

• Hands on experience in large-scale (distributed) system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization

• Solid design and problem solving skills with demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security and performance

• Strong cross-group collaboration and interpersonal communication skills working with a variety of roles including engineering, product management, support and sales engineering

• Experience working with remote teams and individuals while ensuring agility and code velocity

• Solid design, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security and performance

• Fluency in at least one programming language, preferably in Golang, Java or Scala

• Solid grounding in at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Machine learning and data science familiarity

• Can-do attitude, and that you thrive collaborating in a team and are not afraid of taking on responsibilities

Bonus Points:

• Experience of hybrid cloud environments

• Deep experience in building SaaS products in cybersecurity and intelligence domain

• Experience developing complex software applications

• Hands-on machine learning and data science experience
