Dance and fitness manager

The Dance Fitness Trainer and Studio Manager is a dynamic, dual-role position responsible for both leading engaging group fitness classes and managing the day-to-day operations of the studio. This role combines a passion for dance and fitness with strong leadership, organizational, and business management skills.

The successful candidate will oversee class scheduling, staff coordination, marketing initiatives, customer service, and studio maintenance—all while cultivating a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for clients and staff alike.

Instructor Duties:

• Lead Group Classes: Deliver energetic and safe dance and fitness sessions, including aerobics and Zumba, tailored to varying skill levels and client needs.
• Design Choreography: Develop and refresh creative routines and music playlists to maintain an engaging class atmosphere.
• Ensure Safety: Demonstrate proper techniques, correct form, and enforce safety protocols to prevent injuries.
• Motivate Clients: Inspire and support clients in achieving their personal fitness and dance goals through positive reinforcement and individualized feedback.
• Build Relationships: Foster strong, professional connections with clients to promote a welcoming and inclusive studio culture.
• Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with emerging fitness trends, attend workshops, and maintain certifications through ongoing professional development.

Managerial Duties:

• Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the studio's daily functions, including class scheduling, room logistics, and operational planning.
• Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise instructors and front-desk personnel. Develop staff schedules, lead team meetings, and provide regular performance feedback.
• Customer Service: Address all client enquiries, handle registrations, process billing, and respond to feedback or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Financial Management: Monitor studio budgets, process payroll, maintain financial records, and track revenue to ensure business sustainability and growth.
• Marketing & Promotion: Plan and implement marketing campaigns, manage social media accounts, and coordinate community outreach to attract and retain clientele.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure the studio environment is clean, organized, and safe. Oversee equipment maintenance, inventory, and supply orders.
• Event Planning: Organize and execute special events, workshops, and performances that showcase client progress and enhance community engagement.

Qualifications and skills Required

• Proven experience as a dance fitness instructor, preferably with additional experience in a management or administrative role.
• Relevant fitness certifications (e.g., Zumba, ACE, AFAA)
• Strong knowledge of human psychology, exercise physiology, and dance and fitness techniques.
