The
Finance Team Lead
(all genders) will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of our client's organization. This position requires strong leadership, strategic financial expertise, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure financial integrity, efficiency, and compliance. The role will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for leading the finance team, optimizing financial processes, and supporting the organization's long-term financial goals

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the finance and accounts team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members, ensuring the development of skilled and motivated workforce.

Financial Operations:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, invoices, and reconciliation of accounts.

Financial Reporting:

  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Present financial reports to management, highlighting key insights and trends

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with relevant departments to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide strategic recommendations for financial optimization.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify potential financial risks and implement effective risk management strategies.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously assess and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices and automation where applicable to streamline financial operations.

Financial Strategy:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic financial decision-making.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address financial queries and provide necessary information.
  • Effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or other business degree, MBA in Finance and Accounting or CPA preferred but not required
  • At least 10+ years of "hands-on" experience in financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, financial controls and tax (GST, TDS, income tax)
  • Practical experience, knowledge and capability in legal, governance, regulatory, registration matters and requirements, preferably on basis of FCRA rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated budgeting skills and solid experience in financial systems with strong knowledge of Indian GAAP and IFRS
  • Multiple years of experience in leading, developing and motivating a team
  • Experienced in working with Tally
  • Strong communication skills, especially the ability to communicate financial concepts and results to non-financial managers
