Our client is one of India's largest and most reputed event management companies, executing several high-profile government and corporate events across the country. With a strong legacy of delivering large-scale projects, the company is now strengthening its finance and accounting function to support its expanding operations.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Manager – Accounts to oversee the day-to-day financial operations, manage accounting processes, ensure compliance, and support project cost management for multiple ongoing events. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, and capable of managing accounting for complex event-based projects.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Financial Management

  • Supervise and manage the company's accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with statutory and internal audit requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow, project budgets, and vendor payments in coordination with project teams.

2. Event-Based Financial Tracking

  • Track project-wise expenses, budgets, and profitability for various government and corporate events.
  • Prepare cost estimates and reconcile actual spends against approved budgets.
  • Coordinate closely with the operations and procurement teams to manage vendor bills, advances, and event settlements.

3. Compliance & Statutory Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and government departments for audits and assessments.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of all financial statements and statutory returns.

4. Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Implement and strengthen internal controls and accounting systems.
  • Prepare periodic MIS reports for management, highlighting key financial metrics and variances.
  • Support management in financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making.

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience in Tally ERP or other accounting software.
  • Ability to handle project-based accounting with multiple cost centers.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 8–12 years of experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in an event management, media, advertising, or project-based organization.
  • CA/ICWA is not essential, but a strong practical understanding of finance and compliance is required.
