As a 
Business Analyst

, you will act as a vital link between our business and technology teams. Your role will involve:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements.
  • Documenting and modelling business processes to identify areas of improvement.
  • Analysing data to uncover trends and insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Translating business needs into functional specifications and actionable solutions.
  • Supporting the implementation of process improvements or system enhancements.
  • Communicating progress and results to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
  • Conducting workshops, meetings, and interviews to elicit input and clarify project objectives.
  • Identifying business challenges and opportunities and recommending data-driven solutions.
  • Translating complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable requirements for technical teams.

Responsibilities of a Business Analyst

1. 
Requirement Analysis and Documentation

:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and use cases.

2. 
Business Process Improvement

:

  • Analyse existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Propose and document new workflows or systems to address business needs.

3. 
Stakeholder Management

:

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate project updates, timelines, and deliverables effectively.

4. 
Data Analysis

:

  • Extract, analyse, and interpret data to support decision-making and identify trends.
  • Create reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.

5. 
Project Support

:

  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives.
  • Work with project managers to ensure timely delivery of solutions.

6. 
Testing and Validation

:

  • Support the QA team in defining test cases and validating system functionality against requirements.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs.

7. 
Change Management

:

  • Support the organization in adapting to new processes or systems.
  • Provide training and documentation for end-users.

8. 
Collaboration with Technical Teams

:

  • Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and developers to ensure alignment on requirements and deliverables.

Key Skills for a Business Analyst

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tools like MS Office, Visio, JIRA, SQL, and data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of business process modelling (e.g., BPMN).
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
