Role overview

This role owns the technical roadmap, delivery and governance of Damsun's custom ERP and adjacent applications. The successful candidate will be a builder: architecting systems, automating processes, and delivering measurable business outcomes — not just maintaining systems. The role reports to Head — Digital Transformation and works cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Production, Finance and Service teams.

Core responsibilities

Platform ownership & delivery:

  • Lead full software lifecycle: requirements, architecture, development, testing, deployment, monitoring and support of ERP/CRM modules.
  • Enforce release governance, CI/CD, versioning and rollback procedures.

Application design & integrations:

  • Design modular services, APIs, and ETL/data pipelines for cross-platform dataflow (manufacturing systems, POS, finance, e-commerce).
  • Manage vendor integrations and third-party connectors.

Automation & AI:

  • Build automation frameworks leveraging RPA, no-code/low-code accelerators and ML/LLM tooling to streamline sales, production and service workflows.
  • Prototype intelligent assistants/chatops for operational workflows and reporting.

Security, compliance & governance:

  • Implement enterprise-grade security, role-based access, encryption, logging, audit trails and backup/recovery protocols.
  • Maintain SOC/minimum standards and ensure compliance with data protection norms.

Operational excellence & SLA management

  • Ensure system uptime, incident response, root cause analysis and SLA adherence for key modules.
  • Establish IT SOPs, runbooks, onboarding docs and escalation matrices.

Stakeholder enablement & delivery impact:

  • Translate business bottlenecks into digital epics with measurable KPIs and ROI.
  • Deliver dashboards and insights for leadership; maintain KPI cadence.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years in application development or ERP implementation/management (multi-location or multi-brand setups preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in server-side languages / Java / .NET / Python), relational and NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs and integrations.
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with automation (RPA / Power Automate / UiPath or equivalent) and familiarity with LLM/AI integration patterns.
  • Demonstrable governance mindset: SOPs, access controls, backups, and incident management.

  • Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.

  • Prior exposure to manufacturing/ERP modules (inventory, shopfloor, BOM, planning).

  • Experience with event-driven architectures, Kafka / message brokers.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React / Vue) and responsive CSS practices.
  • Experience with data warehousing, BI tools (Power BI / Tableau), and advanced analytics.
  • Technical stack (recommended baseline)
  • Backend: / Java / Python / .NET
  • DB: PostgreSQL / MySQL + Redis; familiarity with document stores like MongoDB
  • Cloud: AWS / Azure (compute, RDS, S3), container orchestration
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions / Jenkins / GitLab
  • Automation: UiPath / Power Automate or equivalent; orchestration via Airflow (if needed)
  • AI: OpenAI/LLM integration basics; embeddings for search, prompt orchestration
  • Monitoring: Prometheus / Grafana or equivalent; centralized logging (ELK)
