Role Purpose

The Sales HRBP & Manufacturing HR Lead will head the HR function for the manufacturing unit(s) and business HR and act as a strategic partner to the Head HR. The role will be responsible for driving workforce productivity, industrial relations, compliance, talent development, and cultural alignment in a large FMCG manufacturing setup.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Business Partnership

  • Act as HRBP to the sales team and to Plant Head and leadership team, aligning people strategy with manufacturing goals
  • Drive manpower planning, workforce productivity, and cost optimization initiatives
  • Support organizational design, shift structures, and workforce deployment

Talent Management & Capability Building

  • Drive hiring for plant roles including operations, engineering, quality, EHS, and supply chain
  • Ensure strong onboarding and assimilation of shop-floor and staff employees
  • Partner with L&D to deploy technical, safety, and leadership development programs

Performance Management & Rewards

  • Drive PMS cycles for plant employees aligned with productivity, quality, and safety metrics
  • Support wage administration, incentives, productivity-linked bonus, and shift allowances
  • Partner with leadership on succession planning and high-potential identification

Statutory Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws including Factories Act, CLRA, Industrial Disputes Act, Standing Orders, ESI, PF, Gratuity, etc.
  • Lead statutory audits, inspections, and liaison with government authorities
  • Maintain HR governance, documentation, and reporting standards

Engagement, Culture & Change Management

  • Drive engagement initiatives for blue-collar and white-collar workforce
  • Lead change management for new lines, capacity expansion, automation, or new plant setups
  • Promote safety culture, discipline, and FMCG best practices
