
Process Associate-Insurance

- Experience with any backend operations with good communication required. (Fresher's can also apply)
- Review insurance applications submitted by potential policyholders, carefully assessing all relevant information including financial history, credit scores, and claims histories to determine risk levels.
- Analyse risk factors associated with insuring a particular property or individual, such as location, occupation, past claims, and industry trends. Use this analysis to determine the level of coverage to be provided and calculate appropriate premiums.
- Determine the appropriate type and amount of coverage based on individual risk profiles. This includes evaluating policy terms, such as deductibles, exclusions, and coverage limits, and making recommendations to clients accordingly.
- Conduct periodic audits of existing policies to ensure ongoing compliance with company guidelines and identify any changes in risk profiles that may require adjustments to coverage or premiums.
- Work closely with insurance agents, brokers, and other colleagues to gather necessary information and provide guidance on underwriting decisions. Communicate with policyholders to clarify information or request additional documentation as needed.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and market trends that may impact underwriting decisions. Continuously enhance knowledge of insurance products, policy forms, and coverage options.
- Document all underwriting decisions, including reasons for approval or denial, in a clear and organized manner. Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained for auditing purposes.
- Identify potential risks and propose risk management strategies to mitigate losses and protect the company's financial interests.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance laws, regulations, and internal policies. Understand and adhere to ethical guidelines in underwriting practices.
