Role & responsibilities:

  • Oversees project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure the project stays on track and within budget
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring quality and safety standards
  • Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using tools like MS Project or Primavera, including PERT networks, milestone tracking, and resource allocation
  • Creating and managing the project budget, tracking expenses, and reporting on cost performance against the plan
  • Regularly monitoring project progress against the schedule and budget, identifying potential delays, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
  • Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation plans to minimize their impact on the project timeline and budget.
  • Maintaining regular communication with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams on project progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Planning and coordinating the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials on project execution.
  • Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with established quality and safety standards.
  • Preparing and delivering clear and concise presentations to management and other stakeholders, summarizing project progress, key issues, and proposed solutions
  • Coordinating with contractors to meet project requirements, including schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Project complies with all relevant regulations and standards.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards in the construction industry.

  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and codes.

  • ERP systems, Primavera, construction management software and proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies, including PERT and CPM.

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and management, preferably in the thermal power plant construction industry.
