Job Title: Legal Manager

Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh

Department: Legal & Compliance

Position Overview:

The legal manager will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters related to the company's real estate projects, including land acquisition, due diligence, RERA compliance, drafting and vetting of agreements, and managing litigation. The role requires strong expertise in property laws, regulatory frameworks, and real estate transactions specific to the Uttar Pradesh and Delhi NCR region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Legal Documentation & Contracts

  • Draft, review, and vet various real estate documents including sale deeds, lease deeds, development agreements, joint venture agreements, builder-buyer agreements, MOUs, POAs, conveyance deeds, etc.
  • Ensure that all contracts and documents comply with applicable laws, RERA guidelines, and company policies.
  • Negotiate contract terms with external stakeholders, vendors, and government authorities.

2. Due Diligence & Land Acquisition

  • Conduct title due diligence for lands and properties across Uttar Pradesh and NCR region.
  • Coordinate with external advocates for title searches and legal opinions.
  • Verify ownership documents, land use, zoning, conversion, and approvals before acquisition or development.

3. Regulatory Compliance

  • Handle RERA registration and compliance for ongoing and new projects.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental, municipal, and local body regulations.
  • Liaise with government departments such as Noida Authority, Greater Noida Authority, Yamuna Expressway Authority, UP RERA, etc.

4. Litigation Management

  • Manage and monitor civil, criminal, consumer, and RERA litigations related to the company.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel for drafting, filing, and representation in courts and tribunals.
  • Maintain updated records of all legal cases and track progress.

5. Corporate Legal & Advisory

  • Provide legal support to internal departments such as Sales, CRM, Procurement, and Projects.
  • Advise management on risk mitigation, legal strategy, and business decisions.
  • Support corporate governance and secretarial compliance (if applicable).

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Education: LL.B./LL.M. from a recognized university.
  • Experience: 610 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with real estate developers or law firms handling property matters.

  • Location Preference: Candidates residing in or willing to relocate to the Noida/NCR region.

  • Skills Required:

  • In-depth knowledge of real estate laws, RERA, land acquisition, and property registration processes.

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Exposure to Uttar Pradesh land laws and government authorities.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and work under pressure.
