Job Title Manager Production Planning

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

The Manager Production Planning will be responsible for leading the overall production planning function across multiple production lines, ensuring optimum utilization of resources, adherence to delivery timelines, and alignment with operational & business objectives. The role requires strong analytical skills, people management, and coordination with cross-functional teams to deliver a higher level of efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee production plans for Offset, Digital, RFID, Printed Lalbel, and Heat Transfer product lines.
  • Lead and manage product line planners, providing guidance, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Align production planning with operational and business objectives, customer orders, and delivery commitments.
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, sales, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor capacity, resource allocation, and workflow across different product lines.
  • Analyze and forecast demand, adjusting plans to manage peak loads and unexpected changes.
  • Drive efficiency initiatives to reduce waste, downtime, and delays.
  • Prepare and present regular planning and capacity utilization reports to the Director Operations.
  • Support ERP/MRP system usage and continuously improve planning processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years experience in production planning within printing, packaging, or trims industry, out of which 3 years at a managerial level.
  • Bachelors degree in production management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Offset and Printed label production processes.
  • Proven experience managing a team of planners.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP planning systems, and knowledge in SAP is a plus point.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for reporting and analysis.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Navi Mumbai.
