The role of a Product Manager for Vegetables in India involves overseeing and managing the Vegetables category within store operations team. This position is responsible for various aspects of the category to ensure its success and profitability

1. Key Responsibilities

1.1. Determine the range of Vegetables to be offered, considering factors such as customer preferences, regional demand, and seasonal variations. This involves selecting the right mix of Vegetables to meet consumer needs and market trends.

1.2. Oversee inventory levels of Vegetables to ensure that there is an adequate supply to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and potential wastage.

1.3. Develop and implement pricing strategies to remain competitive in the market. This includes considering factors such as market dynamics, competitor pricing, and cost structures.

1.4. Collaborate with the category team to plan and execute buying activities for Vegetables. This include identifying the regional products in demand and collecting demand order for PAN India.

1.5. Stay informed about seasonal shift and Fresh produce in trend, Farmers plan of cultivation, and influnce for quality produce of Vegetables.

1.6. Monitor and manage the financial performance of the Vegetables category. This involves budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing sales and profit margins to ensure the category meets or exceeds financial targets.

1.7. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and finance, to achieve overall business objectives. Effective communication and collaboration are essential to ensure alignment across different departments.

1.8. Conduct Market Research.

1.9. Focuses on Farmer and Bulk producers out reach program to meet the sourcing demands.
