Job Summary
The Regional Product Manager will be responsible for driving product growth, market penetration, and vendor alignment for VMWare, Virtualization, Broadcom, and NetApp product lines. This role involves strategic planning, sales enablement, product assurance, vendor relationship management, and regional development. The ideal candidate will work closely with vendors, internal sales teams, and regional leadership to achieve topline targets, ensure product competitiveness, and support business expansion.
Key Responsibilities (KRA/KPIs)
1. Product Strategy & Market Development
- Identify and generate opportunities and leads through vendor engagement.
- Develop and execute regional product strategies to increase market share.
- Set targets in collaboration with vendors based on regional market potential.
- Drive development and growth of sub-product lines.
- Ensure awareness and positioning of new product arrivals in the regional market.
2. Sales Enablement & Revenue Ownership
- Co-own product topline targets with RSMs/NSH and support achievement of sales goals.
- Provide competitive product assurance, solution positioning, and pricing support.
- Deliver timely BID/SPC submissions with optimized pricing and solution accuracy.
- Impart product knowledge and conduct training sessions for the sales and technical teams.
- Facilitate product certifications for internal teams to improve competency and sales effectiveness.
3. Vendor & OEM Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and internal teams.
- Coordinate vendor support to ensure timely deliveries and product availability.
- Communicate product migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle changes promptly.
- Map OEMs, distributors, and sales teams to ensure structured engagement.
4. Marketing & Demand Generation
- Drive regional marketing initiatives to enhance product visibility.
- Create and circulate EDMs, promotional content, and product updates.
- Plan and execute joint events/webinars with vendors to generate pipeline.
- Develop new customer acquisition strategies through OEMs, internet, media, and innovative channels.
5. Operational Efficiency & Support
- Review stock levels regularly and plan effective liquidation strategies.
- Support the sales team in managing transactions and removing operational obstacles.
- Provide timely and competitive price support to close deals.
- Offer insights on competitors, market trends, and solution acceptance.
- Ensure account protection by maintaining strong engagement and solution relevance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in Virtualization, VMWare, NetApp, or Broadcom ecosystem.
- Strong vendor and partner management experience.
- Excellent understanding of virtualization, storage solutions, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, technical, and vendor teams.
- Proven track record of achieving product revenue and growth targets.
