A Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth functioning, excellent customer service, and profitability. The role includes managing staff, maintaining high standards of food quality, ensuring guest satisfaction, and handling financial and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and addressing guest concerns promptly.
  • Manage staff schedules, training, performance, and discipline.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely food service and smooth workflow.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to prevent shortages or wastage.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee cash handling, billing, daily sales reports, and overall financial performance.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities to increase footfall and revenue.
  • Maintain the overall ambiance, cleanliness, and upkeep of the restaurant.
  • Handle reservations, large group bookings, and special events.
  • Work closely with the management team to implement operational improvements.

  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle guest complaints effectively.
  • Basic understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reports.
