Job Summary:
We are looking for experienced and results-oriented General Manager – Sales to lead and manage the sales operations of our Fertilizer, Pesticide, and Agrochemical divisions at Delhi/Karnal/Chandigarh/Noidalocations. The ideal candidates should possess deep knowledge of the Agri-input industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth, building dealer/distributor networks, and developing effective market strategies. This job requires extensive travelling
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies and business plans to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability targets.
- Oversee and manage sales operations across multiple regions, ensuring strong dealer/distributor network management.
- Lead a team of regional managers, area sales managers, and field executives to execute sales plans effectively.
- Identify and develop new markets, products, and business opportunities in the fertilizer, pesticide, and chemical sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, distributors, dealers, and key customers.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing strategies to stay competitive.
- Work closely with the marketing, production, and R&D teams to align sales objectives with product availability and promotional activities.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and maintain healthy working capital.
- Conduct regular sales reviews, forecasting, and performance evaluations of the team.
- Provide training, motivation, and leadership to enhance the productivity of the sales team.
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations, licensing, and product registration norms applicable to agrochemicals and fertilizers.
- Represent the company in trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry meetings to promote brand visibility.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agri-Business Management, Chemistry, or related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 15–20 years of experience in sales and marketing within the Fertilizer / Pesticide / Agrochemical / Agri-input industry.
- At least 5 years in a senior management or leadership position.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of agricultural markets, product registration, distribution networks, and seasonal sales cycles.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinking with strong analytical and decision-making ability.
- Proven ability to build and manage large sales teams and dealer networks.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and ERP tools.
- Ability to travel extensively across regions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in launching new Agri products or expanding into new territories.
- Established network of dealers, distributors, and institutional clients in the agriculture sector.
- Familiarity with government tenders, subsidies, and Agri-department procedures.

Attractive salary package + performance-based incentives + travel allowances + other managerial benefits.
