Your role

As a Network Architecture and Engineering Chapter lead, you will lead a team of Network Architects and Engineers Globally for core network services such as DHCP, DNS, IPAM, Load Balancing both on premise and Cloud along with the related automation. Along with the global responsibilities will be the local Network Architecture and Engineering lead within India being the go to person for the team within country supporting engineers from other chapters, the role would report directly into the Network Architecture and Engineering Global lead.

We are looking for self-driven person to help build up Architecture and Engineering capabilities within India, working across various technologies

This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of network technologies, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency.

• leading and developing the team including mentoring junior talent
• driving Automation and Cloud first principles
• responsible for design, product testing, benchmarking, code certifications and testing
• ability to analyse network requirements and define detailed solutions
• provide vulnerability management support
• liaise with regional & global implementation and operations teams, reviewing & feeding back lessons learned to ensure standards are maintained
• keep up-to-date with network technology
• participate in weekly peer reviews, technical and procedural review of all standards and architectural changes
• be an engineering escalation point for the implementation / operations teams
• ensure compliance with global standards including configuration and OS best practices

Your team

You'll be working in the Global Network Architecture team. UBS is constantly innovating with strong Engineering culture, looking how we further adopt infrastructure as code in the network, leverage Cloud services and AI.

Your expertise

You have:

Ability to lead both local and global teams

Extensive knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software.

Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale network infrastructures.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

experience in a similar role, preferably within a financial institution

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

High level of integrity and professionalism.

Experience of automating networks, Python, Ansible, API interaction with end devices/tools

Any Cloud experience a bonus in particular Microsoft Azure

Any experience Micro Segmentation technologies a bonus.
