Experience: 8 to 12 years in Software Engineering, Architecture, or Product Development, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or architect role within Corporate / Enterprise environments, preferably from the DeepTech or Software industry.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack) to lead the design, development, and delivery of ZenV's core AI-first SaaS products. This role combines hands-on coding, architectural decision-making, and mentoring — ideal for someone who enjoys building at scale while inspiring teams to achieve engineering excellence. You will work across ZenV's flagship platforms — developing modular, high-performing, and secure systems and will be the technical face of ZenV – representing us at conferences, setting engineering standards, and inspiring the team to deliver excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Development

• Design and build scalable, modular, and secure full-stack applications.
• Architect microservices-based systems integrating ReactJS, Spring Boot, and Ruby on Rails.
• Ensure clean API design, schema management, and system scalability using PostgreSQL.
• Develop Python-based automation and backend utilities to support integration pipelines.
• Drive test automation and reliability using Playwright, JUnit/TestNG, and Postman.

Technical Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, guiding them in best practices and design excellence.
• Own the full lifecycle of development — from requirements to deployment and post-release optimization.
• Define engineering standards for code quality, reviews, and performance optimization.
• Foster collaboration across teams while maintaining technical consistency across projects.

DevOps & Deployment

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions / Jenkins.
• Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (Helm).
• Deploy and monitor cloud-native applications (preferred: AWS EC2, RDS, S3).
• Implement security best practices, including JWT/OAuth2 authentication and data protection protocols.

Collaboration & Innovation

• Partner with product and design teams to align features with technical strategy.
• Proactively identify system bottlenecks, propose scalable solutions, and ensure maintainability.
• Encourage continuous improvement, documentation, and experimentation within the engineering culture.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in software development, including 3+ years in full-stack leadership.

• Proven expertise in:

• Frontend: ReactJS, Redux, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, RESTful integration, responsive UI/UX.

• Backend: Java, Spring Boot (microservices, REST APIs, security, JPA/Hibernate).
• Alternate Backend: Ruby on Rails (API design, ActiveRecord, MVC architecture).
• Database: PostgreSQL (schema design, optimization, indexing, migrations).
• Scripting & Automation: Python (data utilities, backend integrations).

• Testing: Playwright (E2E & UI automation), JUnit/TestNG, Postman.

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API Gateway, and CI/CD workflows.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Strong fundamentals in secure coding, system scalability, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills with the ability to lead by example.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience integrating AI/ML APIs into SaaS platforms.
• Prior exposure to multi-tenant architectures or education-focused SaaS.
• Contributions to open-source or public technology forums.
• Comfort working in agile, startup, or fast-paced innovation environments.
