As a Network Technician at our college, your role involves managing and maintaining the network infrastructure and CCTV systems to ensure seamless connectivity and campus safety. You will work closely with the IT and campus security teams to install, troubleshoot, and optimize network and surveillance equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points - Configuring and maintaining CCTV systems including IP cameras, NVRs, and video management software - Monitoring network and CCTV system performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and performing routine maintenance tasks - Ensuring secure integration of CCTV systems with the network infrastructure, configuring secure access, and implementing data encryption protocols - Collaborating with IT and security teams to implement network upgrades and integrate CCTV systems with other security technologies - Documenting network and CCTV configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures - Providing technical support to end-users for network and CCTV-related issues - Testing and optimizing network and CCTV systems for performance and reliability - Staying updated on networking and CCTV technologies Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field - Certification in networking (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) - Experience with network hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting - Knowledge of CCTV systems, IP cameras, NVRs, and video management software - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work in rotational shifts and occasional on-call availability This full-time permanent position offers benefits including leave encashment.
