Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic New Product Development (NPD) Engineer with strong expertise in biomaterials, polymers, hydrogels, and medical device development.

The role involves leading innovative projects across formulation, prototyping, testing, and commercialization of next-generation biomaterial-based products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end development of biomaterials, hydrogels, injectable formulations, and medical devices.
  • Conduct research, bench-scale formulation, and performance testing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into manufacturable products.
  • Evaluate and optimize polymers, crosslinking systems, rheology, and material biocompatibility.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and validation protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO Norms, GMP, and regulatory standards.
  • Support scale-up and technology transfer to production.

Required Educational Background

Candidates must hold a degree in one of the following fields:

Biomedical Engineering (B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech / MS)

  • Biomaterials, Tissue engineering, Medical device development, Polymers & hydrogels

Biotechnology (B.Tech / M.Tech / M.Sc)

  • Biomaterials, Bio-formulation, Lab research & testing

Materials Science / Polymer Science (B.Sc / M.Sc / M.Tech)

  • Polymers & crosslinking, Rheology & gel mechanics,Material compatibility, Hydrogel design

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in medical device sales or related healthcare segments
