We are looking for a dynamic and experienced
Deputy Manager – Hardware & Software Systems
to
build Lumenspace's electronics and avionics division from the ground up.

Role Overview

As the
Deputy Manager – Hardware & Software Systems
, you will:

• Be the
  founding leader
  of Lumenspace's Electronics & Software team.
• Drive the
  end-to-end design, development, and validation
  of avionics, LRUs, control systems, and electrical architectures.
• Build and mentor a
  core team
  of hardware and software engineers.
• Collaborate closely with the mechanical and NPD teams to deliver
  Make in India-compliant aerospace and defense products
  .

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and lead Lumenspace's
  Hardware, Software & Avionics Team
  .
• Design and develop
  electrical architectures, PCB boards, and avionics LRUs
  for UAVs, UGVs, and GSEs.
• Oversee
  embedded software development, firmware logic, and mission-critical control algorithms
  .
• Drive
  hardware-software integration
  , testing, and validation as per
  aerospace/defense standards
  .
• Set up
  design workflows, ESD-safe lab practices
  , and testing procedures.
• Evaluate and implement
  reliable, cost-effective design tools and methodologies
  .
• Collaborate with vendors and manufacturing partners for component sourcing, PCB fabrication, and assembly.
• Represent Lumenspace in
  client meetings, technical reviews, and defense-industry interactions
  (DRDO, HAL, BEL, etc.).
• Work with the CEO and Directors to define
  roadmaps for indigenous technology development
  .

Required Qualifications

• BE/BTech/MTech/MS
  in
  Electrical, Electronics, Avionics, Computer Science, or related fields
  .
• 6–8 years
  of relevant experience in avionics, electronics, or embedded system design.
• Strong background in:
• Avionics and LRU design
• Embedded systems, microcontrollers (ARM, STM32, PIC)
• Control systems (PID, sensor fusion, navigation loops)
• C/C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink
• PCB design tools
  (Altium, OrCAD, KiCAD)
• Communication protocols
  (CAN, RS-485, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, MAVLink, ROS)
• Experience working with
  Indian aerospace & defense organizations (HAL, DRDO, BEL, ADE, NAL, etc.)
  preferred.
• Familiarity with
  MIL standards, EMI/EMC design
  , and
  DO-178/DO-254
  processes.
• Excellent leadership, documentation, and technical review skills.

  open, hands-on, and ready to build a team and systems from scratch.
