About the role:

As a Software QA Tester in the Marketing space within the Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit, you you will independently oversee all aspects of quality assurance, ensuring each software product adheres to the highest standards and meets specified requirements. Your contributions will be crucial in enhancing our testing methodologies and maintaining standard operating procedures. Collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders, you will design and execute test cases and scenarios that cover functional, non-functional, and negative aspects of Marketing.

By planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities, to ensure the product / feature meets all specifications and requirements, this role directly contributes to PDT's ability to harness data effectively, enhancing decision-making capabilities, and ultimately, competitive advantage in the market. You will be adopting cutting-edge technologies and methodologies which will help Takeda drive innovation, adapt to new opportunities, and continuously evolve in an ever-changing business/technological landscape.

This position will align to Validation chapter of the ICC and initially report to the Functional Delivery Lead for strategic direction as well as day-to-day management until the role of Senior Software QA Tester is filled within Takeda ICC. This is expected to be completed by early 2025, post which the reporting and managerial responsibilities will be transitioned accordingly.

How you will contribute:

• Understanding of Marketing Content, User Experience and Responsive Web Design concepts
• Engage in planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities for a release and ensure that the product / feature meets all specifications & requirements 
• Design and implement test automation frameworks and solutions  
• Create test plans, scenarios, and procedures for new software
• Implement software testing, using either manual or automated programs and exploratory testing, and evaluate results
• Knowledge of Agile-Scrum implementations and contributing on the QA activities in a sprint
• Ability to define, understand or conduct cross-browser and usability testing.
• Hands on experience on performing functional/Non-Functional testing of web applications.
• Interact between development and validation teams for effective communication
• Ensure that stories / requirements are thoroughly tested to identify all possible defects with emphasis on functionality, impact testing, scope of changes done, regression and documented with a recommendation of corrective action
• Run various tests on new software products to ensure that programs satisfy all specifications and requirements.
• Monitor test metrics and provide updates to the project teams and management, as required 
• Contribute to improving software testing methodologies and develop standard operating procedures 

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a similar field required. Master's degree in a similar field would be a plus 
• 0-3 years of experience in Functional Validation/ Testing with exposure to marketing applications both web and mobile apps.
• Good knowledge of tools for analyzing crash logs, console output and network traffic logs
• Knowledge of any of the design prototyping tool – like Invision, Zepling
• Experience in Marketing Automation
• Have an experience in test automation framework such as Selenium, APPIUM etc.
• Integration testing experience with testing of API's using postman or any similar tool
• Understands architecture of projects from technical perspective to deliver quality
• Knowledge on tools like JIRA, Testrail, Quality center
• Good communication skills and should be a great team player
• Be passionate about marketing content, design domain
• Have good analytical skills

Preferred requirements:

• Hands-on experience on Automation and Performance Testing
• Accessibility Testing (Content Sites)
• Hands on experience in building test strategy, planning, defect management / reporting.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools is preferred (for eg: Jenkins).
• Knowledge or exposure on any of the following applications
• Content management applications like Adobe Experience Manager, Drupal, wordpress
• Salesforce Marketing cloud, campaign management experience or exposure to it.
• Analytics and Personalization
• Any tool / exposure on Advertising.
• Familiarity with developer/engineering tools, technical knowledge around build installation, and technology trends
