US Payroll Specialist

Position Overview:

Execute day-to-day responsibilities for VMS, PeopleNet, and other automated and non-automated timecards. Reconciliation of VMS system timecard data against Company timecard data each week, processing the payroll interfaces, unapproved time management, assist with variance reporting resolution, and manual entry necessary to complete all transactions necessary to ensure 100% right-first-time payroll. Participate in a proactive, multi tasking team environment to achieve departmental and company goals.

Position Summary

  • Execute right-first-time payroll by processing payroll interfaces from various sources plus research and resolve any exceptions - 40 %

  • Coordinate regularly with the Middleware, IT, VMS, AR, Billing, and mid-office to resolve payroll discrepancies for automated accounts including manual entry of time when needed - 20%

  • Coordinate with field and mid-office teams to chase and update status of unapproved time cards weekly - 10%

  • Adhere to controls put in place to safeguard company assets by reviewing audit reports and having follow up - 10%

  • Constantly seek out improvements in processes/procedures -10%

  • Provide excellent customer service to all encountered - 10%

Key Skills Required

  • Troubleshoot, identify and report any potential identified issues
  • Continuous education and development to remain knowledgeable on current payroll rules and regulations
  • Develop professional relationships within Business Services, support teams, and customer LOB Operations
  • Adhere to compliance and control protocol as defined by organization key control framework
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously, to meet deadlines, and exceed goals in high- pressure situations.
  • Must have problem solving skills interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have Excel skills at an Intermediate level or higher.
  • Must be able to execute time and labor tasks as described.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues and missed timecards
  • Must have payroll, billing or accounting experience.
  • Generate innovative ideas. Operate effectively in a fast-changing environment

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or business administration
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated work experience in finance or payroll team role.

Shift Timings: 6:30 pm to 3:30 am IST ( 8 am to 5 pm EST support is needed)
