We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Analyst,Financial Crime Detection and Digital Enablement Senior Analyst,Financial Crime Detection and Digital Enablement.

Principal responsibilities

  • Recognising data as an asset to HSBC by managing Data Risk and ensuring we are compliant with our Data standards and policies.
  • Using analytics and data science to unlock the value of our data.
  • Applying new age technologies like Python, GCP Cloud, GitHub to develop business rules and risk factors
  • Develop methodology and data driven approach to optimize the model
  • Analyse data and find insight to support the functioning of model
  • Help in roll out of model in multiple countries as per plan.
  • Model monitoring and model governance for the Financial Crime Risk model.
  • They will ensure compliance with HSBC's Model Development Standards, remain abreast of latest developments in Modelling tools and techniques and advise leader

Requirements

  • Able to easily explain complex topics in simple terms to audiences with differing levels of understanding
  • Apply critical and systems thinking to solve business problems.
  • Knowledge and application of mental models that can be applied to common business situations.
  • Able to take an interdisciplinary approach to problem solving.
  • Educational background of one of the following areas Business studies, Banking, History, English Literature, or Maths/Statistics is desirable but not essential
  • An understanding of financial crime risks especially sanctions and money laundering. Minimum of 2 years of working experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic SQL or Python is useful but not essential.
  • Proficiency in MS office applications is required
