Job Description

Position Overview

The Head of Accounting & Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial health, governance, and compliance of the organization. This role involves leading the finance and accounting team, developing financial strategies, ensuring accurate reporting, managing risks, optimizing resources, and supporting business growth with financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy & Planning
• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
• Facilitate controllers on annual budgeting, forecasting with inputs from finance, fx and in other relevant areas
• Provide strategic finance insights to the leadership team and Board.
• Accounting & Reporting
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/IND-AS/GAAP).
• Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Facilitate Group consolidation of accounts for group entities by giving inputs from India.
• Handling of Authorization management across the organization
• Compliance & Governance
• Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, tax laws, corporate governance, and regulatory frameworks.
• Coordinate with auditors, regulators, and other external stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls and risk management processes.
• Ensure global reporting of compliances, risks on GRC
• Treasury & Cash Flow Management
• Manage working capital, banking relationships, and cash flow optimization.
• Oversee capex investment planning from treasury
• Monitor debt and foreign exchange exposure.
• Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Partnering with CABS and with Business
• Collaborate with CABS in ensuring timely and quality accounting and reporting of AR, AP and Treasury topics.
• Collaborate with business heads to evaluate new opportunities, cost efficiency, and profitability.
• Provide decision support through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, or MBA in Finance.
• 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in both manufacturing & services preferred
