Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.
Responsibilities:
- Identify & Evaluate Opportunities Analyze current processes, data, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders – Work closely with cross-functional teams to define improvement goals, build consensus, and drive implementation.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma & Best Practices – Utilize broad knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies to solve complex problems, address business needs, and deliver measurable results.
- Enhance & Adapt Processes – Modify and optimize existing processes, tools, and methods to improve quality, customer experience, and business outcomes.
- Drive Continuous Improvement Programs – Initiate, manage, and sustain CI programs that enhance organizational capability and reduce operational costs.
- Lead Projects – Manage improvement initiatives or key project phases within larger organizational programs, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact.
- Support Training & Mentorship – Provide coaching, training, and guidance on CI tools and techniques to employees at all levels.
- Measure & Report Impact – Track progress of initiatives, prepare reports, and present results to leadership.
Candidate Desired Profile:
- Minimum 5 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering or related) required, master's preferred.
- Proven experience in process improvement, preferably in Continuous Improvement role.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent process improvement methodologies (Green Belt or higher preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting software.
- Ability to work independently under general direction while influencing cross-functional teams.
What your background should look like
Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
