Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the Quality team is dedicated to implementing a culture and practice of excellence throughout the entire value chain of the organization, to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability in a sustainable way.

The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite

This role is contributing to the Smart power Business and the role reports to Manufacturing Quality Manager and is in Nelamangala, Bangalore, India as a Quality Specialist /Test Engineering Supervisor, will support production processes to ensure optimization of cost, quality and on time delivery of products.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Safety & Quality Management – Assess risks, ensure safety compliance, and maintain conformance with all quality and production standards.
  • Team Leadership & Resource Planning – Act as the first contact for production teams, manage resources, schedules, and training to ensure smooth operations.
  • Technical & Process Support – Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and service teams for validation, technical updates, and quality-related activities.
  • Customer & Continuous Improvement – Support customer issue resolution, participate in factory acceptance tests, and assist in process improvements for operational excellence.

Qualifications for the role:

  • BE /B. Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field with 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with effective leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Practical experience in electrical/mechanical testing, troubleshooting, and electronic assembly.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, and familiarity with IEEE, UL, IEC/EN standards, and SAP systems.
  • Skilled in calibration, test equipment handling, and analysis of parameters like wire continuity, HiPot, CT ratios, and power quality.
  • Proficient in laboratory testing — designing setups, conducting environmental/mechanical/electrical tests, recording data, and preparing detailed reports.
  • Experienced in development testing, including design of special test setups, documentation of procedures, and identification of abnormalities during testing.
