Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Trainee Civil Engineering Intern to join our international projects CAD team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed structural drawings for a variety of projects, including precast concrete, reinforced concrete (RCC), and steel structures, adhering to American and European standards. This role is a unique opportunity to gain practical skills in international structural drafting and detailing while working under the guidance of our senior engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare precise 2D structural drawings, plans, sections, and details using AutoCAD.
• Develop detailed drawings for Precast Concrete, Reinforced Concrete (RCC), and Steel structures for international projects.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to interpret project requirements and convert engineering sketches into formal drawings compliant with international standards.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to company standards and relevant industry codes (including
  ACI, AISC, Eurocode
  , and other international standards).
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from the engineering and project management teams.
• Maintain a systematic organization of project drawing files and related documentation.
• Assist in creating shop drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and reinforcement detailing as per project specifications.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with AutoCAD (2D drafting is essential).
• Solid understanding of fundamental civil and structural engineering principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret technical sketches and engineering drawings.
• A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a strong desire to learn and adapt.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications (A significant plus)

• Familiarity with international design codes such as ACI (American Concrete Institute), AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction), and Eurocodes.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling in AutoCAD or experience with software like Revit Structure or Tekla Structures.
• Basic understanding of structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, RISA-3D).
• Prior internship experience or academic projects related to structural drafting.
