Performance & SEO Marketing Manager

Location: Gurgaon, New Delhi

Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and well-rounded performance marketer to take full ownership of the digital marketing strategy and execution for a fast-growing, globally recognised university with a campus I Gurugram, Delhi NCR.

As part of the Marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in leading end-to-end digital initiatives focused on the University of Southampton Delhi, India's first UK, UGC-approved, global top 100 university.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager and in collaboration with the Marketing Manager, PR, Social and Events, the Head of Marketing and the wider marketing team, you will act as a digital change agent, working collaboratively across teams to drive performance, enhance brand visibility, and deliver measurable growth through Paid Media/ Paid Social, SEO, Digital PR, Word of Mouth, and Rich Media Marketing.

Key role attributes

  • Lead and manage all digital marketing workstreams, ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies across Paid Performance, Paid Social and SEO/GEO to build awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Partner with internal teams — including Marketing, Admissions, Conversion and Recruitment to align campaigns with business goals and optimize marketing funnels.
  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to co-develop solutions that enhance user experience and improve conversion rates.
  • Manage campaign execution in partnership with external media agencies (where relevant), ensuring efficient use of budgets and maximum ROI.
  • Stay ahead of algorithmic updates and industry trends across SEO/GEO, PPC, and social platforms; communicate key implications and opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Build and nurture relationships with influencers and creators to amplify campaigns and reach target audiences.
  • Coach and guide team members to strengthen digital marketing capabilities across the organisation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns
  • Increase lead acquisition (volume, right profiles), decrease the cost of acquisition (via media enhancements, as well as devising and implementing a structured SEO/GEO on page optimisation and content plan) and boost brand awareness
  • Analyse campaign performance data, and ensure marketing efforts align with business objectives and developing strategies that incorporate data-driven insights
  • Assist the Marketing and Conversion & Recruitment teams in remarketing/retention activities
  • Input accurate and standardized data into the company designated CRM system to keep each customer record updated and enable eventual analyses and further action.
  • Actively manage the website from a content perspective so it is always up-to-date and serving SEO/GEO purposes.
  • Develop and implement on and off page SEO/GEO strategy & plans.

Person Specification

Qualification

  • Bachelors degree
  • Masters degree (Desirable)

Experience

  • 5 Years in Tier A university in asimilar role
  • 7 Years in Tier A University in a similar role (Desirable)

Communication

  • Excellent command of verbal and written English.
  • Confidence in communicating key points to cross functional audiences

Technical Skills

  • Power Bi, SEMRush, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio and have strong experience across Google ads, Bing ads, CRM tools, and Social Media ads (beyond Facebook).
  • Experience in driving SEO/ GEO optimisation.
