About the platform

We are establishing a Category II Alternative Investment Fund with an associated offshore feeder structure, focused on Indian public and private markets. The platform is being built to institutional standards, with a long-term orientation and a clean governance mindset.

The Principal Officer role is central to the platform's investment, risk, and regulatory framework, and offers meaningful ownership over how the investment process is designed and executed.

The role

The Principal Officer will be responsible for the overall conduct of the fund's investment activities and governance, including portfolio construction, risk oversight, and regulatory alignment. The role combines hands-on investment responsibility with accountability for process, discipline, and decision quality.

In addition to the India-focused fund, the role will also oversee investment activities for an associated offshore feeder vehicle, providing exposure to cross-border capital, global investors, and multi-jurisdictional fund operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and execute investment activities across Indian public and private markets within a Category II AIF framework
  • Participate in portfolio construction, position sizing, liquidity management, and risk monitoring
  • Establish and maintain a robust investment decision process, including documentation, review, and post-investment analysis
  • Work closely with service providers and advisors to ensure regulatory and operational readiness
  • Oversee investment management for an associated offshore feeder fund, including coordination across jurisdictions
  • Contribute to the long-term development of the platform as assets and strategies scale

Candidate profile

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial markets or investment management, including exposure to third-party capital
  • Experience in areas such as portfolio management, investment advisory, public or private markets, research, investment banking, or regulated financial services
  • Strong grounding in risk management, capital allocation, and investment judgment
  • Comfortable operating in a regulated environment with named accountability
  • Able to balance analytical rigor with practical decision-making

Regulatory eligibility

Candidates should meet the eligibility requirements applicable to a Principal Officer under the applicable regulatory framework, including:

  • Appropriate educational or professional qualifications in finance, economics, business, law, or related disciplines (or equivalent recognised certifications)
  • Relevant experience in securities markets or financial products
  • Fit and proper standing

Working model

This role offers exposure across India and offshore fund structures, with a flexible operating model spanning GIFT City, Dubai, and the candidate's primary base, aligned with the needs of the platform and its investors.
