What's this role about?
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Technical Architect for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and the broader Marketing Cloud. In this pivotal role, you will be the cornerstone of our digital strategy, responsible for designing, architecting, and overseeing the implementation of robust, scalable, and integrated solutions. You will bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution, ensuring our marketing technology stack operates as a cohesive and powerful engine.
Here's how you'll contribute:
You'll do this by:
Solution Architecture & Design:
- Design end-to-end solutions for AEM Sites, Assets, and Forms, including component models, content fragment strategies, and headless implementations.
- Architect integrations between AEM and other Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions (Adobe Target, Marketo Engage, Adobe Analytics, Workfront) and third-party systems (CRM, e-commerce, DAM).
- Define the technical blueprint for multi-tenant, multi-site, and multi-region AEM deployments.
- Lead the design of cloud-native AEM as a Cloud Service architectures, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
Technical Leadership & Strategy:
- Serve as the ultimate technical authority and subject matter expert on the AEM platform.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, security, and performance.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and features within the Adobe ecosystem and recommend strategic adoptions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and operational runbooks.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and marketing teams to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Present and justify architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Lead discovery workshops, design sprints, and technical feasibility assessments.
Quality Assurance & Performance:
- Establish and enforce coding standards, development guidelines, and governance models.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for system health, performance, and scalability.
- Lead performance tuning, security hardening, and disaster recovery planning initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the entire stack.

Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in software development with a minimum of 5+ years hands-on in AEM (AEM 6.4+ and AEM as a Cloud Service).
- Architecture Expertise: Proven experience as an AEM Technical Architect, with a deep understanding of AEM's core architectural concepts (Sling, OSGi, JCR).
- AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS): Must have hands-on experience with AEMaaCS, including dispatcher configurations, cloud manager, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Adobe Marketing Cloud: Demonstrable experience integrating AEM with at least two other Adobe solutions (e.g., Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Marketo Engage, Adobe Launch/Experience Platform Data Collection).
- Technical Proficiency:
- Expert in Java and JEE technologies.
- Strong front-end knowledge (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks like React or Angular).
- Proficient with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with DevOps tools: Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, or similar.
- Certifications: Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) - AEM Architect is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
