Housekeeping Associate – Key Responsibilities

  1. Room Cleaning & Maintenance

Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and corridors as per hotel standards.

Change bed linens, replenish towels, and restock guest amenities.

Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and clean furniture and fixtures.

Report maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, broken items, lights not working) to the supervisor immediately.

  1. Public Area Upkeep

Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, elevators, restrooms, and other public areas.

Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal.

Polish furniture, glass, and metal surfaces regularly.

  1. Guest Service

Greet guests politely and assist with any housekeeping requests.

Respond promptly to guest queries or complaints and inform supervisors if needed.

Maintain confidentiality and privacy of guest information and belongings.

  1. Inventory & Supplies

Collect and deliver linen to the laundry area.

Refill housekeeping trolleys with supplies before every shift.

Ensure proper usage and minimal wastage of cleaning materials.

  1. Safety & Hygiene Standards

Follow health, safety, and hygiene protocols at all times.

Use cleaning chemicals safely and maintain proper labeling.

Adhere to lost-and-found procedures for guest belongings.

  1. Teamwork & Communication

Coordinate with front office and maintenance for room readiness.

Attend daily briefings and training sessions.

Support fellow team members and maintain a positive work environment.
