About the Role

We are building an innovative K–12 Operating System that uses
Google Workspace for Education
as the backend infrastructure and integrates a unified school management platform covering Academic Management, Attendance, Discipline Logging, RTI/MTSS, Analytics, Communication, and SIS Integrations.

We are seeking an experienced
Google Stack Developer
who can architect, build, and integrate applications using
AppSheet, Apps Script, Google APIs, BigQuery, and third-party SIS integrations
. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to build production-grade systems that scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build custom applications using
    AppSheet
    for operational workflows: Attendance, PBIS/Discipline, Hall Pass, Counseling Logs, etc.
  • Develop backend automation and system orchestration using
    Google Apps Script, Cloud Run, and webhooks
    .
  • Integrate the unified application frontend with
    Google Classroom, Drive, Calendar, BigQuery, Forms, Admin SDK, Gmail APIs
    .
  • Build middleware services for
    SIS integration (PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, etc.)
    including roster sync and grade synchronization.
  • Build and manage
    data pipelines
    , exporting audit logs and custom app data into
    BigQuery
    .
  • Create dashboards using
    Looker Studio
    with BigQuery datasets and ensure security/role-based filtering.
  • Design and implement
    secure permission models
    and audit logging across Drive, Shared Drives, users, and roles.
  • Collaborate with product and school stakeholders to convert workflow requirements into robust, scalable features.
  • Ensure implementation adheres to
    privacy, safety, FERPA-equivalent, and data governance
    requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of development experience in Google ecosystem tools:
  • AppSheet development and deployment
  • Google Apps Script (JavaScript/TypeScript)
  • Google Workspace APIs (Classroom, Drive, Calendar, Gmail, Admin SDK)
  • Experience with
    BigQuery
    and data warehousing concepts
  • Strong understanding of
    REST APIs
    , OAuth2 authentication, service accounts
  • Experience integrating with
    third-party APIs
    (SIS platforms, SMS gateways, etc.)
  • Experience using
    Looker Studio
    or similar BI tools
  • Familiarity with
    Cloud Functions / Cloud Run / PubSub
    pipelines
  • Strong database fundamentals (SQL + schema design)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in EdTech or building school information systems
  • Knowledge of
    master scheduling logic, attendance systems, or transcript handling
  • Exposure to AI tools like
    Gemini
    , LLM integration, or dynamic content generation
  • Experience with React/Flutter front-end application development
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (FERPA, COPPA, SOC2)
