Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team in the automobile industry. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of vehicle parts, hands-on experience in part inspection and quality control, and excellent English communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspection of automotive parts and assemblies.
- Ensure that all components and assemblies meet defined quality standards and specifications.
- Identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support new product development and supplier quality activities.
- Maintain and update inspection reports, quality documentation, and control plans.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, and other automotive quality standards.
- Communicate inspection results, quality issues, and resolutions clearly and effectively in English.
- Train production and inspection staff on quality standards and procedures.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive parts, components, and assemblies.
- Inspection Expertise: Experience with measurement tools (Vernier, Micrometre, Height Gauge, CMM, etc.) and visual inspection techniques.
- Quality Tools: Familiarity with 7 QC Tools, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, and Control Plans.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written English communication for reporting and coordination.
- Documentation: Ability to prepare inspection reports, NCRs, and other quality records accurately.
- Teamwork: Collaborative attitude and willingness to work with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or related field.
- 1 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control in the automobile industry.
- Working knowledge of ISO/IATF quality standards preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI).
