We are seeking a talented PostgreSQL Developer with 23 years of experience to join our data

engineering or application development team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise

in database development on PostgreSQL, including schema design, writing and optimizing complex

queries, and supporting data-driven applications. The role also encompasses providing 247 support

as per business need, including planned and scheduled activities during weekends or night hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain relational database structures, including tables, views,

indexes, and constraints in PostgreSQL.

  • Write efficient SQL and PL/pgSQL functions, stored procedures, and triggers to support

application logic and business requirements.

  • Optimize and refactor queries for performance, ensuring minimal latency and efficient

resource consumption.

  • Collaborate with backend and application developers to translate business requirements

into scalable database solutions.

  • Assist with data migration, ETL, and integration tasks between various sources and

PostgreSQL.

  • Enforce data integrity, security, and compliance best practices throughout the database

lifecycle.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose

solutions.

  • Participate in database version control and release management following established SDLC

practices.

  • Contribute to documentation of database structures, processes, and procedures.
  • Support production issues, analyze and resolve database-related bugs, and participate in oncall rotation as required.
  • Provide 247 support as part of an on-call rotation, ensuring critical production issues are

addressed promptly at any time.

  • Perform planned and scheduled maintenance activities (e.g., patching, upgrades, data

migrations) during night hours or weekends to minimize business disruption and maintain

service availability.
