Position Summary e.l.f. Beauty is looking for an SAP Basis Lead to join our dynamic, fast-paced team. The Basis Lead is responsible for the technical administration, maintenance, and support of the SAP landscape.  This includes managing system installations, upgrades, patches, and ensuring the overall performance and reliability of the SAP environment.  The role involves collaboration with other IT teams, such as security, application support & functional leads, to ensure seamless operation of SAP systems. Responsibilities:
  • System Administration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including but not limited to SAP S/4HANA on Rise, ECC, BW, and Solution Manager, IBP, CI, SAC, Cloud Connector, and Web Dispatcher.
  • Closely partner with SAP RISE delivery teams to plan and oversee system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices and business continuity requirements.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system parameters for maximum efficiency.
  • Database Administration:
  • Oversee SAP HANA database operations (tenant DBs, system DB, schema, users, connections).
  • Monitor log/trace files, backups, and growth trends in persistence layers.
  • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot database-related issues.
  • System Landscape Planning:
  • Collaborate with project teams to plan and implement SAP system landscapes based on business requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal infrastructure teams and SAP delivery/technical teams for hardware and network requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring & Tuning
  • Monitor system performance using SAP monitoring tools and proactively address performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement performance tuning measures to optimize system response times.
  • Transport Management:
  • Manage and monitor the transport landscape, ensuring the orderly and secure transport of changes between systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve transport-related issues.
  • Backup & Recovery: 
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems.
  • Test and validate backup and recovery procedures regularly.
  • Documentation: 
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP landscapes, configurations, and procedures.
  • Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SAP Basis tasks.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of SAP Basis experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an SAP Basis Administrator or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP architecture, administration, and best practices.
  • Deep understanding of SAP cloud integrations (BTP, CPI, IBP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with identity provider/SSO setup (Okta/SAML2/etc.)
  • Strong understanding of SAP HANA database administration.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow workflow/ticketing/integrations.
  • Experience with system performance, volume testing, tuning and optimization.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • SAP certifications in Basis/HANA administration are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
