Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled GIS Database Specialist with expertise in geospatial data management using Oracle Spatial or PostgreSQL/PostGIS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing GIS databases, supporting spatial data analysis, and integrating GIS solutions with enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Design, develop, and maintain GIS databases using Oracle Spatial or PostgreSQL/PostGIS.

·       Optimize spatial queries, indexing, and database performance for geospatial applications.

·       Support the integration of GIS applications with enterprise systems and web-based mapping solutions.

·       Manage large-scale spatial datasets, ensuring data integrity, security, and accuracy.

·       Develop and maintain scripts for data processing, transformation, and automation (SQL, Python, or PL/pgSQL).

·       Implement GIS data modeling, topology management, and spatial analytics.

·       Work with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and open-source GIS tools for visualization and analysis.

·       Collaborate with development teams to support geospatial application requirements.

·       Provide technical guidance on GIS best practices, database administration, and cloud-based GIS solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

· years of experience in GIS database management and geospatial data processing.

·       Expertise in Oracle Spatial and/or PostgreSQL/PostGIS for handling geospatial data.

·       Strong SQL skills and experience with spatial functions, indexing, and query optimization.

·       Experience with GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, GeoServer, MapServer) for spatial data visualization.

·       Knowledge of ETL processes for geospatial data integration and transformation.

·       Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PL/pgSQL, or Shell) for automation.

·       Experience with REST APIs and web mapping frameworks (Leaflet, OpenLayers, Mapbox).

·       Understanding of spatial analysis, coordinate systems, and GIS data formats (Shapefiles, GeoJSON, WMS/WFS).

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Experience in cloud-based GIS solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).

·       Knowledge of geospatial machine learning and data science applications.

·       Familiarity with CAD/BIM data integration in GIS.

·       GIS certifications such as Esri ArcGIS Professional, GISP, or similar.
