Spatial Decisions is a consulting firm specializing in urban planning, climate resilience, and information solutions. With offices in New Delhi, Guwahati, and Raipur, and Hanoi, we are now establishing an office in Chennai. The company integrates Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) for Spatial Analytics in urban development projects, among other technical areas.

Role Description

This is a role for a
GIS/ RS Specialist
, with relevant undergraduate/ post-graduate degree with 3+ years full-time professional experience in GIS/ RS/ Urban Development/ Environental Planning or related fields. Expereince in working with Spatial Analytics and GIS Data Management for government agencies and government progrms is highly desireable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree from reputable academic institution in India
  • Capable of working with open soruce GIS platforms
  • Experience in obtaning GIS/ RS data from various agencies and government departments
  • Experince in working in Tamilnadu, preferably with State Government agencies
  • Good communication in spoken and written English and Tamil
  • Ability to travel within Tamilnadu and engage in field work as required
  • Work with diverse team of experts (domestic and international)
