About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Geoinformatics Specialist to join our Geospatial Intelligence team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are passionate about geospatial technologies, LiDAR, drones, and digital twins. The role involves hands-on experience in LiDAR processing, photogrammetry, 3D modeling, and spatial data analysis under the mentorship of experienced geospatial professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process LiDAR point clouds for infrastructure and corridor mapping
  • Support photogrammetric processing of drone and aerial imagery
  • Assist in georeferencing digital assets to real-world coordinates
  • Create 3D terrain models and digital elevation models (DEMs)
  • Build and maintain spatial databases with sensor and camera data
  • Perform spatial analysis tasks such as buffer and proximity analysis
  • Integrate BIM models with GIS layers
  • Process GPS data and support field survey activities
  • Assist in creating web-based 3D visualizations and digital twins
  • Organize and maintain geospatial data libraries
  • Participate in reality capture surveys using drones and laser scanners
  • Document workflows and contribute to process improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Geoinformatics, Geomatics, GIS, Geography, Remote Sensing, or related fields
  • 0–2 years of experience (academic projects or internships count)
  • Basic understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and GIS fundamentals
  • Willingness to learn new software tools and technologies
  • Good spatial visualization and analytical skills
  • Team player with a learning mindset

Technical Skills

Essential:

  • Fundamental knowledge of GIS concepts and spatial data
  • Experience with QGIS or similar GIS software
  • Understanding of georeferencing and coordinate systems
  • Basic computer and file management skills

Desirable:

  • Exposure to remote sensing, photogrammetry, or CAD/Revit tools
  • Basic scripting in Python
  • Familiarity with drones, GPS/GNSS equipment, and LiDAR
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling or visualization tools

  • GIS Platforms: QGIS, Global Mapper, GRASS GIS, MapInfo Professional
  • LiDAR Tools: Terrasolid Suite, CloudCompare, LP360, Leica Cyclone, LAStools
  • Photogrammetry: Agisoft Metashape, Pix4D, RealityCapture, DroneDeploy, OpenDroneMap
  • 3D Visualization: CesiumJS, , Unreal Engine, Unity3D, Blender
