Compensation Consultant
We have an opportunity for a Compensation Consultant to join our Total Rewards team in Bangalore, India reporting to the director of Global Compensation. In this pivotal role, you will act as the regional compensation lead for India and the broader APJ region while also owning global compensation operations. Collaborating closely with the global Compensation team, HR business partners, and business leaders, you will provide expert consulting, market insights, and data-driven recommendation. Additionally, you will manage the company's market pricing tool and compensation data globally, ensuring accuracy, consistency and scalability in support of compensation programs globally.
Be a Contributor — What You'll Do
- Act as the primary compensation consultant for India and APJ, partnering with HR business partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to advise on market practices and compensation programs
- Lead the annual compensation review cycle, including merit, promotion, and bonus in the region, ensuring alignment with global processes and compliance with local laws and regulations
- Analyze market data, provide benchmarking insights, and recommend competitive pay practices for India and APJ
- Own the company's market pricing tool and global compensation data, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Partner with HRIS and IT to maintain data integrity, streamline processes, and build reports, dashboards, and analytics that support global decision-making
- Support global Oracle HCM initiatives, including systems enhancements, rollout of Workforce Compensation planning, and ongoing system maintenance
- Partner with the global Compensation team to design and roll out programs, supporting regional and global compensation plans and policies
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure competitive and equitable offers, while balancing internal alignment and market trends
- Lead and contribute to global projects that scale and improve compensation operations and programs
Be Prepared — What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of compensation experience, ideally with both regional (India/APJ) and global operations exposure
- Solid communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills
- Good expertise in India market compensation practices, regulations, and benchmarking
- Proven experience with market pricing tools and compensation data management on a global scale
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems (Oracle HCM preferred), and compensation survey platforms, such as Mercer, Aon, and MarketPay
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global, and matrixed environment

Six Months:
- Build relationships with HR business partners, business leaders, and global compensation colleagues across India and APJ
- Gain a thorough understanding of current compensation programs, policies, and processes
- Support the regional compensation planning cycle
- Assist with policy reviews and support program launches for India/APAC
- Assist with global compensation operations, including maintaining the market pricing tool and supporting Oracle HCM system enhancements
One Year:
- Fully manage the regional compensation cycle independently, providing recommendations and guidance to business leaders
- Lead policy reviews and drive program launches for India/APAC, ensuring alignment with global frameworks and local compliance
- Act as the go-to expert for workforce compensation and market practices in India and APJ
- Lead regional and global initiatives related to workforce compensation, system enhancements, and process improvements
- Drive insights from compensation data and market benchmarks to influence strategic workforce planning and pay decisions
- Partner with global Compensation team to ensure scalable, consistent, and compliant compensation programs across the organization
