About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Media Ad Sales Manager with a proven track record in generating advertising revenue for news channels. The ideal candidate must have strong industry connections, excellent negotiation skills, and hands-on experience in securing both direct and agency-led ad sales. Candidates with solid experience in DAVP/CBC advertising and government empanelment will be given strong preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive advertising sales for the news channel across Delhi and national markets.
- Generate revenue through agencies, corporate clients, government departments, and DAVP/CBC channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media buyers, agencies, and brand partners.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand advertiser base.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Programming, Operations) to deliver client expectations.
- Manage end-to-end sales cycle including pitching, negotiation, closing, and post-sales servicing.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum
12+ years of experience
in media ad sales (TV/Print/Digital), preferably in the news broadcasting industry. - Strong network with agencies, brands, and government departments.
- Proven track record of delivering consistent revenue growth.
- Hands-on experience with
DAVP/CBC ad generation and government advertising processes
. - Excellent communication, presentation, and client-handling skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of the Indian media and advertising ecosystem.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
