Job Summary:

The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing industrial processes and systems. The role involves improving process efficiency, reducing costs, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Conduct process simulations, mass and energy balances, and performance analysis.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for process improvement.
  • Develop process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical reports.
  • Support plant commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Maintenance, Quality, Production) to implement process changes.
  • Ensure all processes comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for process deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Evaluate new technologies and materials for process enhancement.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to operations teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering (or related field).
  • Experience: 6–10 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in [industry type – e.g., manufacturing, oil & gas, chemical, food processing, etc.].
  • Strong knowledge of process design, equipment sizing, and plant operations.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD, MATLAB, AutoCAD).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
