Candidates are ideally located in Bangalore or Pune, with flexibility to consider other major metros such as Hyderabad or Chennai. This role requires working onsite two days per week.

Sr. Data Engineer (AWS) | About You

As a Sr. Data Engineer (AWS), you are responsible for building and optimizing data pipelines that power analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. You are passionate about working with large-scale data systems and thrive in environments where performance, scalability, and reliability are critical. You bring deep experience in cloud-based data engineering, especially within AWS, and enjoy working with tools like Talend to streamline data integration. You take pride in writing clean, efficient code and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data solutions.

Sr. Data Engineer (AWS) | Day-to-Day

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services and Talend to support data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across the organization.
  • Develop and optimize data models in AWS Redshift, ensuring performance, reliability, and alignment with business reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality, well-documented solutions.
  • Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data across systems.
  • Automate workflows and orchestrate data jobs using tools such as Talend, AWS Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve data engineering practices, staying current with emerging tools and technologies in the AWS ecosystem.

Sr. Data Engineer (AWS) | Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, and IAM.
  • Proficiency in Talend for ETL/ELT development and data integration.
  • Solid SQL skills and experience with performance tuning in large-scale data environments.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Shell for automation and data manipulation.
  • Experience with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in global, cross-functional teams.
