Title: Sales & Marketing Manager – Domestic & International (B2C & B2B)

Location: Maroma, Auroville

Type: Full-time

Experience: 15+ years in consumer sales and brand marketing, preferably in lifestyle, wellness, or retail sectors.

About the Role

We're seeking a creative and results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead Maroma's Go-to-Market strategy across domestic and international markets. This role blends strategic planning, cost analysis, distributor management, and hands-on execution to drive sustainable growth in both B2B and B2C channels.

Key Responsibilities

B2B Sales & Marketing

  • Distributor Development: Identify, onboard, and manage international distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and corporate clients.
  • Sales Targets: Set clear targets for distributors and track performance.
  • Market & Price Analysis: Analyze costs, pricing structures, and compare Maroma's prices with competitors in each country to ensure competitiveness.
  • Europe Expansion:

-Assess best warehouse location considering logistics, salaries, rents, and taxes.

-Analyse current distribution setup and recommend improvements.

-Collaborate with the Europe-based Maroma Manager (currently being selected), define goals, and work together to achieve them.

  • Value Proposition: Develop pitches and marketing materials highlighting Maroma's strengths—sustainability, product quality, fair trade, and brand legacy.
  • Sales Support & Coordination: Provide partners with product knowledge, marketing collateral, and operational support.

B2C Sales & Marketing

  • Digital Strategy: Execute SEO, SEM, social media, email, and paid campaigns to drive traffic with low acquisition cost.
  • Website Management: Oversee listings, pricing, promotions, and ensure a seamless shopping experience.
  • Analytics: Use data tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track KPIs and optimize campaigns.
  • Customer Engagement: Build loyalty through CRM, personalized campaigns, and customer care.
  • Brand Storytelling: Develop content for web, blog, and social platforms to strengthen brand awareness and consumer connection.

Overall Management

  • Revenue & Budgeting: Forecast sales, set revenue targets, and monitor budgets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with product development, production, logistics, and finance.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor the marketing team, setting clear goals.
  • Strategic Growth: Build a unified sales and marketing roadmap that integrates B2B and B2C channels.

Ideal Candidate

  • 15+ years in business development & marketing (wellness, beauty, lifestyle, or sustainability-focused brands preferred).
  • Proven ability in strategy, sales management, and digital marketing.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills with ability to set and achieve sales targets.
  • Experience in international market entry, distribution, and competitor benchmarking.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
  • Creative thinker with leadership experience.
  • Bonus: Experience in premium retail or hospitality partnerships.
