Job Description – Key Account Manager (Garments)

Department: Sales / Corporate B2B

Location: Thane / HO

Role: Key Account Management & Business Development

Role Summary

The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for managing strategic customers, driving sales growth, ensuring smooth order execution, and maintaining strong long-term relationships with major retail, institutional, and B2B clients. The role demands strong understanding of garment product categories, costing, order cycles, production timelines, and client servicing.

Key Responsibilities1. Key Account Management

  • Manage end-to-end relationships with major clients (B2B, modern trade, institutional buyers).
  • Act as the single point of contact for all key accounts.
  • Understand buyer requirements, trends, and upcoming season demand.

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Drive repeat orders and upselling across product categories (Jackets, Rainwear, Workwear, Seasonal Garments).
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts.

3. Order Management & Coordination

  • Coordinate with merchandising, production, and logistics teams for order executions.
  • Ensure timely delivery, quality adherence, and smooth dispatch.
  • Track order status, share updates with buyers, and resolve issues.

4. Costing & Negotiation

  • Discuss pricing, margins, MOQ, and payment terms with buyers.
  • Prepare sales quotations, costing sheets, and proposals.

5. Market & Competitor Insights

  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, product ranges, and customer behaviour.
  • Provide feedback to the design & merchandising teams for new developments.

6. Client Servicing

  • Handle client escalations and provide quick resolutions.
  • Maintain strong rapport with procurement teams, store teams, and category managers.

7. Reporting & MIS

  • Maintain account-wise sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
  • Share weekly/monthly business MIS with management.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong communication & negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of apparel industry (especially Jackets/Rainwear).
  • Ability to handle high-volume orders and fast timelines.
  • Excellent coordination between internal teams.
  • MS Excel, CRM, Order Management Software proficiency.
  • Relationship management & client handling skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,200, ₹1,500,000.00 per year
