Job Description:

Job Title – Lead Systems Analyst

The Purpose of This Role

Require System analyst for Software Developer & Design for Workplace investment (WI) technology team will be responsible designing and driving implementation of applications/ framework using Java, Angular, This technology group provides superior development and maintenance support to the overall Fidelity WI organization.

The Value You Deliver

  • Analyst Support and small development on  platform dedicated to high scale processing of large amounts of data.

  • Involved in Application level Analysis , Impact study

  • Ability to understand the Programming language viz Java,.Net exposure to mainframe, API's and DB.

  • Understanding and exposure to the Retirement domain.

  • Assessing and researching current implementations of the platform and determining the course of action required to elevate the platform to meet customer needs.

  • Taking the business requirements coupled with existing architecture to set a technical vision for features and major components and clearly articulating the evolutionary steps to achieve it

  • Working with Operations to plan major infrastructure upgrades, to troubleshoot issues and to tune the environment for optimal performance and uptime.

  • Collaborating with peers and management on process improvement ideas, policy and procedure enhancements, and opportunities to improve our customer's service experience.

  • Participating in code review and unit testing and providing support on issues in non-prod or production

The Skills that are Key to this role

  • Must have a handson Experience on System Analysis role

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (software development / computer science preferred) required

  • Exposure to translate business need to system requirement.

  • 5+ years of experience in SDLC support and maintenance work

  • Have experience in working with technology group and prior experience in development on mainframe or distributed technology

  • Strong exposure to working with Rest/ SOAP web services, experience in Cloud platform and RDBMS.

  • Ability to identify areas of risk or potential problems and take action to mitigate them.

  • Ability to anticipate roadblocks, diagnose problems and generate effective solutions.

  • Ability to build communication and rapport with partners, stakeholders.

  • Ability to take initiative, define vision for betterment of products, and execute at high level of quality.

How your work impacts the organization

The Workplace Investing (WI) Platform technology group within Fidelity Investments is tasked to develop and maintain of technology solutions supporting Fidelity's Defined Contribution (DC) business. The platform serves plan sponsors in the configuration of their DC plans and operates in a mixed-technology environment (Java, Spring, Angular, Oracle) across multiple tiers (web server, app server, DB).

The Expertise we're looking for

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar subject.

  • 5+ years of experience in information technology.

  • Financial services experience, preferably in Brokerage Domain

  • Certification in relevant technologies is preferred.

Skills/Knowledge and experience:

Languages : mainframe  Java 1.7/J2EE (Optional), good to have the exposure

Azure cloud service  REST Web Services

UI Technologies : JavaScript, Angular

Application Server : Tomcat/TC Server

Database : Oracle, PL sql exposure is a must

Databases : Good understanding and experience on RDBMS (mandatory)

Methodology : Agile

Others : Prior experience on large scale IT Transformational Projects ( Migration, Modernization) is plus

Location:  Bangalore

Shift timings: 11:00 am - 8:00pm
